This clip is particularly interesting because it cuts off on the topic of Russia/Eastern Europe, and I wonder how PBS was going to frame the late 19th century. It seems to me that this is a great example of the "typical" narrative of the Jewish experience emigrating to America, even though we all know that such a narrative is necessarily incomplete.
